Joshua Kamen
Co-founder
Joshua A. Kamen, Esq. is an entertainment attorney and litigator with offices in New York City and Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and graduated cum laude from Fordham University School of Law. Josh began his career as a law clerk at the music law firm Carroll, Guido & Groffman LLP while in law school, working on deals for Jay Z, Outkast, Dave Matthews Band and others. He then spent several years as a commercial litigator for Mayer Brown LLP in New York, representing clients such as Citibank, Bank of America, Ernst & Young and Hitachi. In 2010, Josh started his own practice. He currently represents several recording artists, producers, production companies, small labels and other media companies.
In addition, Josh is the owner of Still Legal Entertainment, Inc., a producer management and consulting company. His clients have placed records with Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Game, Fabolous, Lupe Fiasco, Slaughterhouse, Keyshia Cole, Jazmine Sullivan and more.
Josh has spoken on panels at the Dynamic Producer Conference, Sha Money XL’s One Stop Shop Music Conference, the Get Your Buzz Up Artist Showcase, the A3C Music Festival and the iStandard Producer Showcase. He also served as an instructor for Producer Skill University and has been published in the New York Law Journal. Before becoming an attorney, Josh had a radio show on WVBR-FM in Ithaca, New York and was the house DJ at the Crane Club in New York City.
Ariel Borujow
Co-Founder
Ariel Borujow is the chief engineer at Stadium Red Studios in Harlem, NYC. He is also the co-founder of Westward Music Group Inc., an audio engineer management company,and he is a graduate of the Institute of Audio Research in Greenwich Village, NYC. Over the past 15 years, Ariel has amassed countless credits working alongside artists and producers such as Puff Daddy, T.I., Black Eyed Peas, Just Blaze, Kanye West, J. Lo and many more. Moreover, he has worked on several multiplatinum and Grammy nominated projects over the course of his career.
After executive producing several highly acclaimed independent releases, Ariel chose to expand his horizons and pursue his passion for artist development. With the experience and knowledge that Ariel has gained by working on dozens of major and independent releases, he brings a unique perspective to the studio when working with new artists. Whether its recording, mixing, producing or simply just getting the right “feel” from an artist or musician, Ariel Borujow is the heart and soul behind an Imprint One80 release.
Azar S. Bogan
Project Management
Azar S. Bogan began her career in music at the age of 16 when she taught herself how to DJ. In 1998, she started an all-female hiphop radio show called Cypher on CKUT 90.3FM in Montreal. The show garnered international attention and aired through 2003. During this time, Azar held various positions in the local music scene in Montreal. Notably, she was the urban EJ at FLIPR – the first legitimate peer-to-peer file sharing service for music.
In 2002, Azar produced and released a 12″ on her own imprint that received accolades from The Source, Elemental, URB and many other publications. The following year, she was accepted into NYU’s elite Music Business Graduate Program. While completing her Masters degree at NYU, Azar ran the operations of Day By Day Entertainment, a national independent distribution company based in New York City, and she was personally responsible for over 15 releases.
After graduating from NYU, Azar accepted a position in the A&R Department of Universal Motown, working directly with Executive VP of A&R Bruce Carbone and Sr. VP of A&R Eric Nicks. While at Universal Motown, Azar helped run “R&B Live NY” – an exclusive industry showcase series founded by Eric Nicks.
In 2008, Azar left Universal Motown with Nicks as he formed Alpine Music Group, a management & publishing company that has been responsible for hit songs by Justin Bieber, One Direction, Musiq Soulchild and many more.
Currently, Azar runs enig(ma)nagement (formerly PSP, Inc.) and guides the careers of artists that she is passionate about. She has managed the careers of artists such as Poison Pen, Eternia, Duo Live, Brooklyn Academy and The Kin as well as consulted for several music start-ups. Her current client roster includes Rick Warren, AntMaestro, PJay Johnson and Big House Publishing.
